6 Months

Last week, Bronson hit his six month mark. Holy crap, time flies! My baby makes me laugh every day and I love watching him grow and progress. Here are his stats from his doctors visit:

Weight: 18 lbs. 3 oz. (64%)
Height: 27 inches (71%)
Head: ..... drumroll ..... 91% Yup, got his dad's melon!

B-man is becoming so fun:
  • He can roll from front to back AND now from back to front.
  • He scoots all over the floor while doing tummy time.
  • He can sit up on his own.
  • His favorite toys are stackable cups. He loves knocking them over when I stack them, and is great at grabbing them and moving them from hand to hand.
  • Pulls his binki out of his mouth, turns it around to chew on other sides, and then turns it again to put it back in the right way.
  • He babbles all the time now. He makes "th" and "ggggook" sounds, and says "mamama" and "dadada". Can't wait until he says those and knows what they mean!
  • He loves scooting around in his walker. He scoots backward around the house, and it's pretty humorous when he gets stuck in random places (like between his crib and the recliner in his room).
  • He LOVES bath time and splashing all the water out of his little tub. Sometimes I have to fill it up twice just to finish washing him.
  • He has discovered that he can grab and eat his feet now. Makes diaper changes pretty difficult.
  • He is now 100% formula fed. I have mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, I love not pumping anymore, and love the convenience of the bottle.... oh, and love that I don't flash people in public due to his excessive squirminess while eating. But I do miss what a bonding experience we had while feeding. Plus formula is so dang expensive.
  • He started eating rice cereal at 5 months, and really enjoyed it!
  • And after his 6 month appointment, he started solids. So far we have tried peas (which he isn't fond of... he purses his lips together and looks down at his bib), and squash (which he can't get enough of)!
  • He is on a nice regular schedule. LOVE IT! He completely sleeps through the night (from about 8:30 pm until 7:30 am), and takes two good naps every day.
  • In my last post I was worried about his schedule and him hating people and going places. Well, things quickly changed and now he is the happiest little guy, loves going places, and even smiles and talks to me the whole time we're at the grocery store!
  • Also, he no longer needs to be swaddled at night! Hooray!
  • And remember the flat head? Well it seems to be improving on its own, so I asked the pediatrician about it. Good news! No helmet needed!
Now, enjoy a couple of catch-up pictures:

Trying rice cereal for the first time... Mmmm!

No more peas, please.

Bet I can grab that camera, Mom.

So cute Jessie!! We need some help on transitioning from swaddling to no swaddling. How did you do it? We tried it a few times and Marcus just likes to grab his binky and throw it across the room so then he won't go to sleep. Any advice would be great.

Look at all the progress he's made! Now life can get fun! 2-nap schedules are great (and wait until 1 nap- sublime!) You will love formula :) Frees you up in so many ways! This is all like deja vu to me! So fun!

Well talk about the proud mama, and look how time flies. Charlie (the B-man) is growing up. Before you know it he will be running around and saying "light!", something similar.

Oh I love him so much! He is so stinkin cute!! And dad, I hope he doesn't run around yelling "light" that was not the most fun stage hahaha. But I can't wait to have a sleepover at B man's house in a month!!

Oh! And that is one very good looking bib he is wearing ;) whoever gave it to you must have a great sense of humor. I bet there are similar bibs that are funny as well.
