So if you remember my post back a couple of months ago, I have been nesting like crazy for weeks and weeks and weeks now. There have been soooo many projects that I have wanted to complete. And I am proud to say that I have pretty much finished everything I wanted to have done before our little sis comes.
I organized all the cupboards and cabinets and drawers and closets. I have washed all the little clothes and hung them or folded them into drawers. I have hauled stuff to DI. I have gotten all the baby stuff out and washed and put in the right places. I have shopped for all the last minute little things I might need. I have typed up notes of Bronson's schedule and medications and allergies and everything for the babysitters. I have packed our bags. I've pretty much done it all.
But there were a few additional projects on my list that I have wanted to do for some time now. Like our bathroom. When we bought the house, it had this tiny little ugly bathroom with pink tile. It wasn't in our budget to remodel it right away, so I knew I was going to have to live with it. I kept telling myself that it was okay. But I have HATED this bathroom from day one. So during the month of October, it was my goal to get the bathroom painted and get some curtains for the window (I am sick of wondering if the entire street can see our naked shadows when we get out of the shower). I spent an entire weekend painting while Jeff was off hunting. I had decided that a nice gray would look good with the pink tile, and then I would accent everything with black, white and gray. The paint didn't turn out like I had hoped, and occasionally it picks up the pink from the tile and appears to have this periwinkle hue; but for the most part, it looks a million times better and the color is starting to grow on me. Then Jeff's sister, Jessica, helped me pick out material and sew some fantastic curtains.

My next project was re-covering a bassinet that was given to me. Believe me, I was grateful for the generous gift (Kirstin was given the bassinet when she had Cael, and she passed it on to me), especially since it meant not having to buy another crib right now! However, it was covered in a not-cute Winnie the Pooh pattern. (Sorry if you like Winnie the Pooh.... I've just never been a fan and really didn't like all the ugly ruffles and things covering the bassinet).
So again, I enlisted the help of Jessica and together we were able to come up with a cute new bed for my little girl!!! The mobile had little bees on it, and they were cute but the blue satin wings were pretty ugly and definitely didn't match the new covering. So I took them apart, removed the wings, and made my own new and improved bumblebee wings! I am so happy with how it turned out and am even more excited for my little girl to show up now!

I know how you feel about your bathroom, we have an original blue bathroom in our house, but you did a great job. And the bassinet is adorable, I love the fabric!
Jessie!
it all looks amazing! How is Branson doing now-a days?
it looks like you are ready any day.
Cute cute CUTE! Where on earth do you muster the energy to do these projects?? I LOVE the pink tile- homage to my grandparents I guess- both had pink tile! I love the bassinet colors (and I'm with you- the Pooh has to go!) I think you're all set. Now put your feet up. You're making the rest of us non-pregnant people look bad.
Oh my gosh! Soooo cute. That bassinet was like an extreme makeover! haha I love it. You have great taste. Miss you so much!!
I love your bassinet make over! Congrats on being so accomplished before Cora got here, you be like super woman or something :)
